Little Prince- Chapter 14

Summary:
The fourteenth chapter is about that the little prince reached the fifith planet,which was so strange and the smallest in all the planet. There was a lamp and a lamplighter in the planet. The lamplighter was less ridiculous than the other people who he met. The lamplighter's job was to put out lamp in the mornings and lit it after dark. The little prince talked with lamplighter and knew the lamplighter's job  was according to the orders. That the planet revolved much faster and orders had not changed was a trouble. So one minute was equal to one day. The lamplighter always obeyed the orders. Little prince knew the lamplighter also wanted to rest, but he could not. The little prince regarded him as his only friend. Little prince really did not want to leave the planet, because he could see so many sunsets in the planet. But he still went on his travel.

despise (v.)--   to dislike and have no respect for sb.

Interesting Sentence:

"When he puts out his lamp, that sends the flower or the star to sleep."

This sentence means when he turns off the lamp, sleeping time for the flower or the star is coming.
